Summer Schedule:

Quilts 'N Kaboodle is unavailable for consultations, drop off or pick up between June 15 - July 1 due to longarm quilting workshops scheduled in our studio.

As it is our policy to quilt "first in, first out" you are welcomed to make a "reservation" for an upcoming quilt top by utilizing the Contact Us form to place your name and quilt on the schedule. This would be the same as if you actually brought your quilt top and was place in rotation. Your reservation will act as a place holder for your quilting date and I will contact you following the workshops to scheudle an appointment time to bring by your quilt.

Current turn-around time is approx. 4 months.

Quilting Styles offered:

Please make an appointment to have your quilt top measured and to discuss quilting options and estimates. There is no charge for a consultation if your quilt is left for quilting services, if you chose not to use our services there will be a $25 fee imposed for the appointment time.

Rates are based upon the type of quilting. There is a minimum of $50 for edge to edge quilting services and a minimum of $75 for custom and $100 for heirloom quilting services.T

Please note: I offer several edge to edge and freestyle allover designs for you to choose from as my most economical quilting service to meet your needs..If you desire custom quilting or heirloom quilting I am assuming you are coming to me for my art and skill as a quilter. We will discuss the density (which affects the price range), thread colors and any specialty design elements I offer, beyond that please recognize that your quilt top then becomes my canvas ~ in other words, please allow me time to live with your quilt to be inspired as to create the thread play that is needed to complement your piecing and design. It is within this freedom that I do my best work.

Backing

Please review our comments on backing. Your backing needs to be 8 inches wider and longer than your quilt top and must be squared and pressed for proper loading.

When choosing a back take into consideration that the bobbin thread will be in the same color family as the top thread. In other words, if your top is being quilted in variegated purple then the bobbin thread will be purple ~ if you back is a light color the thread will show. Many people prefer a "busy" back. Again, please read our additional comments on backing.

We do carry wide back quality quilters muslin in natural or creme available at $8.00 per yard and beautiful tone on tone wide backing for only $13.00 per yard.
